Do you charge a monthly retainer or a setup fee?
No. PrepKingz bills per unit for prep work or per order for fulfillment. There is no monthly retainer, platform fee, or onboarding charge. Storage, shipping, and selected add-ons are billed separately when applicable.
How often do you invoice, and what are the terms?
Weekly invoicing in CAD, net 7 days. A card on file is required. Late balances carry 1.5% per month. Enterprise accounts can negotiate longer terms.
Do you charge for storage?
Receiving is free and active inventory storage is included for the first 5 days. After that it is $5.00 per box per month or $50.00 per pallet per month. The structure is deliberate: it costs nothing if your inventory turns, and it discourages using our warehouse as long-term parking.
How are tiers determined?
By your actual monthly volume — units for per-unit services, orders for per-order services. We review every month. Cross a threshold and your rate drops on the next billing cycle automatically. No contract is needed to hold a tier.
What happens if my volume drops below a threshold one month?
You bill at the tier your actual volume lands in that month, and the rate adjusts on the next cycle. If you normally run 1,500+ orders at the Elite rate and one month you do 1,000, that month bills at Premium. No penalty, no contract to break.
What is the minimum volume to work with PrepKingz?
300 units a month for per-unit services, or 300 orders a month for per-order services. Below that we will still talk, but our rates are calibrated for sellers doing real volume and a smaller account is usually better served elsewhere.
Is shipping included in the rate?
No. Carrier shipping and freight are billed separately because the amount depends on the carrier, service level, weight, dimensions, destination, and shipment profile. We can include a shipping estimate with your quote.
Why is per-order pricing higher than per-unit pricing?
Different work. Per-unit prep is batch work: receive a case, label, bag, box, one outbound shipment to a fulfillment center. Per-order fulfillment is individual: pick a specific item, pack it, generate a label, hand it to a carrier, handle the return if it comes back. More touches per billable event, so a higher rate.
Can I run multiple services on one account?
Yes, and it is our most common setup. Each service bills on its own model, your inventory pool is shared from the same bin location, and volume is tiered per service. Combined volume across services often qualifies you for a better tier on all of them.
How is returns pricing structured?
Returns are $0.30 per inspected unit: receiving, condition inspection, photographs of any damage, and routing — restocked to your bin if resellable, quarantined for your decision if not. Refunds to the customer are handled by the marketplace or your store, not by us.
Do you offer pricing below the Elite tier?
For accounts consistently shipping 5,000+ orders or 10,000+ units a month we quote Enterprise rates on a per-account basis, priced against operational complexity rather than a published table.
Is GST and QST charged on your fees?
Applicable GST and QST are shown separately on invoices where required. Whether you can recover those amounts depends on your registration and tax situation. Confirm with your accountant.
Can I be invoiced in USD?
Invoices are issued in CAD. If your home currency is USD or another currency, your bank or card provider handles the conversion, so your effective cost in that currency can move with exchange rates.
Is there a contract or a commitment period?
The service agreement is month-to-month with 30 days notice to cancel. Some Enterprise clients negotiate a 6 or 12-month commitment in exchange for pricing concessions, but that is never the default.
