What is Walmart Marketplace fulfillment in Canada?
Walmart Canada Marketplace is the seller-side platform where third-party sellers list products on Walmart.ca. When a customer buys, the order comes to you (or your 3PL) to fulfill. You handle picking, packing, labeling, shipping, and returns. Walmart manages the listing, payment, and customer messaging. PrepKingz handles the fulfillment side from Montreal — same workflow as Amazon FBM, different marketplace.
Does Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) exist in Canada?
Not yet. WFS is currently US-only — Walmart hasn't extended it to Canada as of 2026. Canadian sellers active on Walmart.com US can use WFS by shipping prepped inventory cross-border to US WFS fulfillment centers. PrepKingz Montreal handles the prep work (UPC/GTIN labeling, polybagging, case-pack labeling, customs documentation) and ships cross-border to WFS FCs.
How much does Walmart Marketplace fulfillment cost in Canada?
PrepKingz Walmart Marketplace fulfillment (seller-fulfilled) starts at $1.30 per order CAD for high-volume sellers (1500+ orders/month), $1.75/order for 500–1499 orders, and $1.99/order for 300–499 orders/month. Same per-order pricing as Amazon FBM and Shopify DTC because the workflow is identical. Extra units beyond the first: $0.25/unit. Shipping rates billed at carrier cost.
How much does WFS prep cost?
WFS prep is priced per-unit, same as Amazon FBA prep — from $0.80/unit CAD for 1500+ units/month tier, $0.95 for 500–1499 units, $1.25 for 300–499 units. Includes UPC/GTIN labeling, polybagging, basic prep. Cross-border shipping to US WFS FCs billed at carrier cost. Customs documentation (commercial invoice, B13A) included.
What's the minimum volume for Walmart fulfillment?
300 orders/month for Marketplace fulfillment, or 300 units/month for WFS prep. Below these thresholds we can discuss case-by-case but the per-order and per-unit pricing is calibrated for sellers doing serious volume.
Can I run Walmart Marketplace AND Amazon FBM from the same inventory?
Yes — this is one of our most common multi-channel setups. Inventory sits in one bin location at our Montreal warehouse. As orders come in from Walmart, Amazon, eBay, or Shopify, we pick from the same bins. Real-time inventory sync across channels prevents overselling. Many of our clients run 3-4 marketplaces simultaneously.
How do you protect my Walmart Pro Seller status?
Three ways. (1) Same-day shipping for orders before 2 PM ET keeps OTSR (On-Time Shipping Rate) above 99% — Walmart's Pro Seller threshold. (2) Carrier API integration validates and pushes tracking back to Seller Center in real time keeps VTR at 99%+. (3) Daily monitoring of all 4 metrics (OTSR, ODR, VTR, Cancellation Rate) catches anomalies within 24 hours. Most clients see their scorecard improve within 30 days of switching to us.
What is OTSR and why does it matter on Walmart?
OTSR is On-Time Shipping Rate — the percentage of FBM orders shipped within the stated handling time. Walmart's threshold for Pro Seller status is 99%, stricter than Amazon's LSR target. Below 95% triggers listing suppression and lost Buy Box (Walmart Buy Box equivalent). We protect OTSR by same-day shipping default and weekend coverage on request.
Do you integrate directly with Walmart Seller Center?
Yes — native Walmart Seller Center API connection. Orders sync every 15 minutes, tracking pushes back automatically, inventory updates flow both directions. No CSV exports, no Zapier, no third-party order management software required.
How does shipping work for Walmart Marketplace orders?
We rate-shop carriers per order — Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, GLS, UniUni — based on destination, weight, and Walmart's promised delivery date. Walmart shows the buyer an estimated delivery date at checkout, so we pick the carrier that meets it most cost-efficiently. Most clients save 15-30% on shipping vs. single-carrier strategies.
Can you handle WFS inbound shipment plans?
Yes. For WFS prep clients, we pull shipment plans from Walmart Seller Center, prep inventory per WFS requirements (UPC/GTIN labels, polybagging, case packs), build outbound pallets per the routing plan, generate customs documentation, and arrange cross-border carrier pickup to the assigned WFS fulfillment center.
What carriers do you use for cross-border shipments to WFS US?
UPS Cross-Border, FedEx Cross-Border, and GLS for parcel/LTL shipments. For full-pallet or container WFS inbounds, we work with cross-border freight forwarders. Customs documentation (commercial invoice, B13A export declaration, certificate of origin) handled per shipment by our compliance team.
Do you handle Walmart Marketplace returns?
Yes. Returns flow back to our address. We receive, inspect within 24 hours, photograph any damage, restock re-sellable units automatically, and quarantine damaged items for your decision. Walmart handles the customer refund — we handle the physical unit and inventory accounting.
Is GST/HST charged on Walmart fulfillment service fees?
Yes — GST/QST applies to fulfillment service fees per Canadian tax law. We invoice in CAD with full GST/QST breakdown. If you're a GST-registered business, these are recoverable as input tax credits. Cross-border WFS shipments involve US sales tax on the buyer side (handled by Walmart, not us). Not tax advice — verify with your accountant.
How do I get started with Walmart fulfillment?
Three steps. (1) Request a quote — tell us your monthly Walmart volume, whether it's Marketplace (Canada) or WFS prep (US), channel mix, and current Walmart scorecard status if available. We reply within 4 business hours. (2) Sign the service agreement (electronic via Documenso). (3) Connect Walmart Seller Center API to our portal, ship inventory, start fulfilling. Most sellers go from first contact to first shipped order within 7 business days.
